I'm preparing for two different groups right now.
Even the base material is similar, the types of projects they do, and client base they serve
are different enough that it is taking some time to prepare the lessons and test for purpose.

Most don't want to do this, without calling it customized and increasing the fee.

sounds to me that the training was poor, if they didn't get the incentive to utilize the skills
the training should have imparted to them.

sometimes I function as much "coach" as educator

Your generous assessment is kind, but inaccurate, having personally worked with them over the past +/- 90 days.

There is a clear distinction between unfamiliarity, and unwillingness... The latter is both part of why I've been brought on, and one of the specific items I am attempting to help them overcome.

I predict you will be villanized, and eating lunch alone very often.

I am in a similar position here.

They have some practices that really need to be changed.
My challenge is to not upset them in the process of being that agent for change.

I know that all too well.

FWIW - I am still experiencing the undo message in that same model...

BB, does this drawing contain any Annotative hatches? If so, set their annotative setting to off and see if that brings the drawing into submission. There appears to be a bug with these in C3D2013 & 2014 (not sure about 2015). For more reading on this: http://forums.autodesk.com/t5/AutoCAD-Civil-3D-General/UNDO-file-size/m-p/4354423#M210720

Thank you, Jeff... Unfortunately, there are no hatches, just an unintentionally bloated model... I didn't realize when I started I had to create every aspect of a C3D project.

No real way (that I know of) to export only Profile Views into this drawing, and their parent Alignment's into another, etc. without completely redoing the corridor.  :|
