Severe Error
« on: April 03, 2014, 08:18:09 AM »
Hi guys,
I am getting the following error message when plotting:
AutoCAD Severe Error - File not found.

I'm using autocad 2012

Does anyone have any ideas what might cause this?

Thank you

Why did you reset?

Do you still have the old profile that did not produce that error?

It sounds like AutoCAD is looking for something that it cannot find. Does it tell you the name of the file? Find that file and make sure that the appropriate search path is pointing to it.

I reseted my autocad because the Ribbon had gone.

The Ribbon had gone because I download a app in exchange autodesk.

The error isn't show the name of the file. I don't know what to do

Without more information, I think you have a serious problem and it's time for drastic measures.

Try to run a repair on AutoCAD.

If that does not work, a reinstall may be in order. Make sure to follow the direction from Autodesk for the reinstall if you have to do that. There is a procedure for fully uninstalling AutoCAD that is necessary for a reinstall to be clean.

I can't set my plot stamp.

Code: [Select]
Command: (findfile "inches.pss")
"C:\\Users\\Owner\\appdata\\roaming\\autodesk\\autocad 2012 -
english\\r18.2\\enu\\support\\inches.pss"

What am I suppose to do with inches.pss file?
Can I delete the file and restart the autocad?

I've created many stamp before I reset the autocad.
