I can't figure out where these dots are coming from

Noticed them similar to this;


I regenerated the screen;

Maybe Points??  Anything show up on the properties pallette

looks like some sort of linetype
your graphic isn't very clear, you just made me clean my monitor

what does your ribbon change to when you select it

Not an object, just a bunch of "dots" which get closer and more frequent in numbers the closer you zoom in.
