One can make a tunnel using generic links just as easy...be sure to assign unique point codes.
If it a fixed shape you could also do it with a polyline.

Will try once in the office, however I made something like that, only MORE complicated last year...
If you do it with Generic Links first, it will help you do it in SAC after.
