Topic: Civil 3D Survey Import Event and Survey Point Groups

I am working with Civil 3D 2012. I'm looking for some guidance as to how I might create and/or update a Survey Point Group in the Survey Database. I am also looking to automate the creation of an import event in the Survey Database. I can't seem to find much documentation, and have not been able to drill down within the object model to find where Survey Point Groups or Import Events are exposed.
