Topic: 14MB empty drawing..

Hi all,..

I've over 14MB empty DWG,..
all purge method ,wblock, reggap, layer filter, xdata removed, empty block, pages setups, scalistedit reset, all proxy removed,..
tried to saveas as diffrent format,..and version...
I also saved this file with DrafSigth, ZWCAD, BricSys, StarIcad, Teigha,..but drawing stay Huge size.

No entity inside the drawing...!?
all was deleted !

also,..I use AutoCAD 2014 and save the drawing in 2000 dwg format...
and it came over 216MB !!

any idea ?

Perhaps the Geographic Location is fubared, I've seen this a few times. In Autocad 2014 type in GEOGRAPHICLOCATION, if there is one set you will have the option to Edit, Define a new one, or remove, choose Remove, then save and exit. The last drawing I had like this was ~40mb that reduced down to ~300kb.

unfortunatly....it was not the solution....there is no geographiclocation in there...
this drawing was created With AutoCAD 2011.

Hi Andrea,

This issue was also raised here in the .NET forum, and Autodesk provides an Hotfix there.
