TheSwamp board page
« on: August 25, 2013, 09:05:57 AM »
Here is my I suppose stupid question, but it would be nice to have an answer...

I know that 1st board page on AutoLISP (Vanilla / Visual) is :
http://www.theswamp.org/index.php?board=2.0

Many times when stepping into some old topics, I know it's index number - it's displayed in address bar, but how can I go from that old topic to that particular board where all nearest date topics are listed...

Is there a way to calculate this board=2.?

If i understand your question, no. I don't see how it can be done. I'm guessing the cause of the, apparently, random numbers in topic=28.0 is due to the many conversions that have been done to the database over the years.

All topics have their board index number, it's just problem that that number is constantly changing when new topics are added, or new messages are appended...

For example, when I post this message, this topic will be newest on this forum, so it will be :
http://www.theswamp.org/index.php?topic=45196.0 === http://www.theswamp.org/index.php?board=2.4 (number 4 is because of first 3 topics on this forum are pinned and can't be moved)...

Only problem is that this board number of topic isn't provided as info with real topic index in address bar...

I was hoping that I will hear answer "yes" it's possible - in fact these numbers actually exist, just type :
http://www.theswamp.org/index.php?board=2.20 and new page will be opened as in normal view there is 20 topics by page and 9 if you are viewing http://www.theswamp.org/index.php?board=2.0;wap2
