Revit PrintManager - Document Name not working
« on: July 15, 2013, 02:27:20 AM »
I'm hitting my head against a wall here. I'm trying to adjust the document name the printmanager sends to the printer driver - seeing as I want to customize the PDF filename incorporating stuff like revision numbers.

There are lots of threads if I google for such, but all of them seem to end in a statement that the ViewPrint sample shows you how. Well ... it doesn't! At least what it does, doesn't work. It's even worse than the normal "built-in" Print - seeing as at least the normal Print uses the the Name entered into the dialog as a sort of template. But the sample simply ignores this totally.

I've tried adjusting the code to set the PrintManager's DocumentName in the code, but this just throws an exception - something about it's a ReadOnly property. Anyone got some idea? Perhaps I'm just being stupid.
Common sense - the curse in disguise. Because if you have it, you have to live with those that don't.
