Display crossing pipes in structures - Civil 3D 2011
« on: January 07, 2013, 08:19:53 AM »
For the longest time, I though it wasn't possible to display the crossing pipes if you had the masking turned on (to cut off the pipe at the structure). However, I received a drawing from another firm and the crossing pipes are displayed in the structures, and everything is shown as it should be. I was trying to figure out what was different but haven't had much luck. I was hoping someone could enlighten me as to what I'm missing.

Thanks guys.

Structure style, Display tab, Profile view direction, Structure pipe outlines <- Is this set to visible in your drawings?

Every time I see posts like this I hope it has to do with showing inverts at crossing pipe locations with some sort of pipe label...lol... realllllyyy wish there was a style for that.

There is so much more that Autodesk should do for pipes, it almost makes me cry.
The pipes functionality and labels that go with them should serve as a point of embarrassment for the product team, as poor as they yet remain.

Seems as though they "almost" got it lol... I spend so much time fighting with Civil 3D thinking it should be able to do something because of what it actually can do... it's a love hate relationship lol... I love to hate it sometimes
