Why can not I see the objects in this file?

If you can not see them....

I only see one LWPOLYLINE, to me there is only one OBJECT in the file, not multiple objects.

Ctrl+A reveals a number of objects, a few of which go away after purging. I wish I had more time to play with it but I'll be watching for the solution.

Not much time either but snooping it there are blockreferences with entites with their visible property set to false.
 
Got it to show a little something by using
 
Select - All
Change to layer zero
SetByLayer
Select-All
Select-All
Xplode

Did a recover which erased 12 objects and dwg now shows what Jeff H sees.

Did a dxfout (saveas) to ACAD2000 dxf then did a dxfin and I see dead peo.... err walls and windows etc., but still a lot of objects not visible.

Did an export all blocks in dwg to a folder and found 20 blocks, some visible some not, some containing other blocks in various states of visibility.

Basically, objects are flagged as INVISIBLE.
