MTEXT Jig
« on: November 03, 2012, 03:13:21 am »
Hey all,

Just wondering, if there is a way to use a jig to dynamically stretch MTEXT and show the contents reformatting.

Even AutoCAD MTEXT objects do not do this when grip-edited. The box just stretches and after placed, the contents re-format.

I'm looking to stretch some new MTEXT being placed in the drawing via ARX.

Is it doable?

Thanks,

Jeff H

Not sure if how familiar you are with .NET but should be able to port to ObjectARX
here is a .NET example

Yes, I did see that example before. I like the command line options, which I will need also, but was looking for the stretch-ability factor. Kean also has an example on his blog:

It does similar things, too, but no stretching.

I'll keep checking...
