.NET and AutoCAD .NET glossary
« on: August 01, 2012, 03:49:25 PM »
Do you guys think it would be a good idea we could keep a glossary(definitions) for users?
Anyone could submit a definition and if no one disagrees, a moderator or I could update this first post to add it to the list.
I know I am guilty of it but it might help for using correct terminology, and help for terms with dual meanings.

Example:

A
.....
B
Block preferably use BlockTableRecord or BlockReference. See BlockTableRecord & BlockReference

......
I
Interface -.........

To prevent unnecessary duplication, probably best to avoid conventional C#/VB keywords like Interface, Class, etc.  Plenty of references for those elsewhere.  Instead it should focus on the AutoCAD side of things, like BlockReference, Entity, Palette, and so on.

try {GreatPower;}
   catch (notResponsible)
      {NextTime(PlanAhead);}
   finally
      {MasterBasics;}

Yes, please!

Despite having IT install the ObjectARX SDK's documentation, I am still unable to access the help documentation via Visual Studio 2010 Express. I'm usually on here anyway, searching for help with what I am after, so something like this would be a great thread to add to my growing collection of 'Pinned App Tabs'.  :lol:
