CP2654 - Automated Testing with the AutoCAD .NET API
CP2657 - Programming AutoCAD with C#: Best Practices

They are probably worth spending 20 hours each way in a plane seat to hear !

Wish we could get an early draft :)

I attended the Best Practices class last year. Autodesk made an effort to include more of these types of classes and it was the best AU (for a developer) I've ever attended.

I've been to 11

Cheese and Rice! I do a few ~13hr flights a year...  a 20hr flight would just be unbearable. I'd need Xanax and PinkFloyd on loop through noise reduction headphones.  :-D

That would be my choice also!

I tried to register for the C# Tips and Tricks class but it was already full. And this was the first day of registration?

The AU team reserve some slots to schedule repeats of popular classes, so keep checking the website.

Last year I signed up on day three and missed a class I wanted.  At the time of the class I asked if I could sit in and they asked me to wait to see if there would be room when the class started. As soon as the class started there were a couple of empty chairs and they let me in.  So if all else fails you may still get in if there is sitting room.

Thank you both! I will keep checking back.

I hope the notes and samples for this are complete

'cause it's information that is difficult to glean in isolation.

CP2654 - Automated Testing with the AutoCAD® .NET API

Scott McFarlane , Woolpert, Inc.

Automated testing, which includes unit testing and integration testing, is one of the cornerstones of the Agile development process. Yet we see it as difficult and expensive, especially for programs written with the AutoCAD .NET API. So what makes it so difficult? What are the obstacles? Can we overcome them? This class will explore the topic of automated testing, specifically for .NET programs written for products based on AutoCAD software. You will learn how good programming practices, such as single responsibility, abstraction, interface development, and dependency inversion, go hand in hand with writing testable code, and how to use these techniques to decouple your code from the AutoCAD API, enabling you to unit test your business logic in Microsoft® Visual Studio®. We’ll also look at a few of the popular testing tools, including the Gallio Automation Platform, which integrates AutoCAD into its test runner.

Because autodesk doesn't understand the Internet. At all. Ever. New URL for that class (whicjh took >10 minutes to find on the POS camel of a website)
