Revit MEP 2012 Cable tray issue...
« on: July 12, 2012, 08:45:56 AM »
When we place cable trays in our model and when the cable tray is inserted in a layout plan with a bottom of tray justification set and the level of insertion is e.g. 2750mm.

Now when we inspect that tray, it will tell us the level that the tray is placed 2800.  The bottom of tray is still at 2750, but it reports to us the centre of the tray.  Is there any way we force MEP to tell us the bottom of tray?

Regards

Ummmm.... no.  The same thing happens with ducts.   :|

You could add a spot elevation tag to show the bottom of tray elevation.

that's what we did.  At least we know there is an issue anyway and we can take steps to avoid it.

Thanks
