Do you have keyboard with sticky buttons? Looks like the space bar is being held down, as I can duplicate what you are seeing by holding mine down.

I'm not even touching the space bar, or any other key for that matter. I just go to select something and that's what I get.

I am so glad I do not do Civil work, its seems like you guys go through hell constantly.

The other thing is slow saves! It takes for ever to Save a file, any file!

While it's true some people seem to have a lot of trouble with C3D, I can say that I have very few problems with it. Why that is, I really don't know...although I think a lot of it is that I don't have to deal with an IT dept. It seems like 90% of the real weird issues I've seen reported are with people whose hands are tied by IT.

Mark, not sure what else to say, other than your IT dept has got you using a brand new release of C3D (which always has issues until the first service pack) on a 12 year old OS. Just doesn't make a lot of sense to me.

Mark, for the slow saves, what is SAVEFIDELITY set to? If 1, set it to 0 and try again.

When saving C3D says it's saving a .tmp file in the current directory, which doesn't exist.

Are you saving to a local drive or network location? If network, can you try saving locally to see if that speeds up the save time? (Sorry for mentioning things you've probably already thought of, just putting them down as I think of them.)

Local. I do everything local then back-up to the network.

What bugs me is the .tmp file. Why is it doing that? (rhetorical)

The problem was Novell Netware. I guess what we had wasn't compatible with 7. Or so I was told.

C3D just got caught in a loop and to be forced closed. I was attempting a window selection.

Just happened again.

This is quite annoying. Wish I could reproduce it.
