DWGTABS
« on: April 19, 2012, 04:12:00 am »
I went to get the latest version of the drawing tabs software. My home browser threw up and "WHOA" unsafe site message.
Is there any alternatives to this for ACAD 2011 and 2012?
How can I get this utility if the site is unsafe?

Many thanks for any suggestions
T :)

Are you on Windows 7? If so, pin ACAD to your taskbar. When you hover over the icon it shows you thumbnails of the drawings you have open.

In Windows7, if you right-click the taskbar, go to Properties, then, under the 'Taskbar' tab, for 'Taskbar buttons', select either the option 'Combine when taskbar is full', or 'Never combine'; then when using AutoCAD 2011 onwards I think the drawings appear as individual window items on the taskbar.

I'd really hate someone telling me it's unsafe  :)

We use MDITAB18.arx (from Autodesk??) in MEP/Architecture/Civil 3D 2011.

I've attached the ARX file for you to try.

... Been using MdiTab plug-in from Land Desktop 2009 --> Civil 3D 2012.

In case someone has any version older than 18.*, here's a link to the site to download all supported versions.

Odd. I've been using the same version of drawing tabs for quite some time (2009-2012) and never had any issues.

Revisiting this, I am unable to run installers (EXE/MSI) due to permissions... Does anyone know of a way to obtain the ARX files for the non-MdiTab gimmick(s)?

I know they're free, but am not sure if that somehow violates their EULA, etc. If this is a violation, please disregard - I'll do without. Just curious.

Currently using Civil 3D 2011/2012
