AutoCAD vs Inventor

How much different is the AutoCAD API vs the Inventor API? Is there something similar to the AutoCAD ObjectARX documentation for Inventor? I looked over this blog a little bit and it seems they are completely different.

They're completely different. Different Object Model and the Inventor API is COM API.

BTW Another useful resource for Inventor API is www.autodesk.com/developinventor.
