Hatches vs solid
« on: May 15, 2012, 04:41:35 pm »
When creating blocks or objects for example a barscale,
Do you perfer using a Hatch with solid or like Ansi31 with a scale small enough to where it looks like a solid unless zoomed into very closely?

Or do you perfer to just use a solid?

When I said perfer as in drawing is smaller, less problems, etc...

I'd say solids or a polyline with a width if the shape is right.

solid hatch ... many of those hatches with tiny spacings cause slow regens and a polyline does not always allow for the precise shape desired.

Tight hatching can be a nightmare to select, as well.  It can, IMVHO, look better for some presentation purposes.
