Bizarre Layout issue

(1/2) > >>

KewlToyZ:
I got this drawing from a client and I am wondering what new stupid pet trick I am encountering....
The layout shows empty white space and the XREF, nothing else.
Cycling Ctrl-R does nothing.
Entering PS doesn't do anything.
Going into page setups, I set the page to one of 10 page setups in the drawing (with 3 layouts),
and it finally brings a sensible layout up.
But if I dare to zoom extents, I am back to the same weird thing.
All I can figure is Bozo the Archy attached the XREF at 1:1 in the layout lol!

Drafter X:
Probably exactly what they did and used the page setup you found to print it... smart.. no.. likely.. who knows?

KewlToyZ:
Yeah deleting the XREF in the layout solved the problem.
Like I said, stupid pet trick. Would make Letterman proud. :ugly:

Drafter X:
My favorite stupid trick is hugely complex x-refs the finally turn around and end up referencing themselves.  Real joy to work with.  :ugly:

Especially when they bind a few of them as blocks in a few XREF's. A joy like no other =P
Then there is the idiots that place everything over top of themselves and put in a zillion layout tabs using freeze with a zillion subtly different long inexplicably undescriptive naming structures and you have to run scripts to even see one floor out of 20  :pissed: :ugly: :lmao:
