Ran into this after the last install.  There's a virtualized version of GE Pro that IT Groups can install, and which generates that particlar error.  You'll need to get your IT people to install the correct version, and it will work.  It only took three weeks here for them to fix it....  I'll email you the HEAT info.

That HEAT ticket info would be great, as Ernie leaving the Tampa office has put an extra office's work on Leon... I haven't seen him in a couple weeks. Anything to help make his job easier, helps us out down here in SWF. Either PM, or corp email is fine.

Cheers!

You will be much happier using USGS DEM or LIDAR data over GE any day of the week.

OH; and the plus side must of that data is FREE!

for quick, and fairly current imagery, GE Pro is great for planning and overview, and streetview has saved me many road trips.  For better imagery in FL, FDOT has the APAC library at decent resolution and resonable accuracy, but the area you need may not have been flown recently.  http://www.dot.state.fl.us/surveyingandmapping/apac.shtm

GE is often a couple of years more current than APAC.  no opinion on GE vertical data...

I've compared survey to GE data and it hasn't been that bad.

if anyone has a source for Georgia that's got comparable imagery to FL DOT or Labins, feel free to share it. I've got some work coming up in SoWeGa and decent quality, current arials would be great.

FWIW -

The solution to Google Earth Pro working with Civil 3D was to NOT have GE installed in a virtual environment, and instead perform a full-install. This immediately fixed the problem.
