Morn'n ever-body,
I am in need of some assistance please.
I don't have Navisworks so I can't duplicate this problem I am having, but my model - according to the architect - is showing up as 2D lines when it is brought into Navisworks.
We had a clash detection meeting the other day and everybody's model looked like it should, except mine. The items I modeled myself appeared as they should, but the default piping was 2D linework and didn't reflect the 12" diameter pipe I was using.
I don't know why, can someone shed some light on this for me?
Is there something I need to adjust or set in my model to make it appear properly? Let me ask this; When I create a plan of a mechanical room, when the model is viewed in Coarse or Medium, I see 2D lines, when viewed in Fine, I see the true aspect of a pipe. Could this have anything to do with bringing a model into Navisworks? Could the BIM guy at the architects office be bringing the model in incorrectly or in a Coarse or Medium mode? I wouldn't think so as all the other disciplines models appeared to be just fine, but I don't know.
Could Materials have something to do with this? I have left the materials as default as I haven't had a need to make it look pretty. Perhaps I am misunderstanding the need of materials.
I am grasping at straws here as I have read through my books and have searched through the Revit settings for something, anything that would help with this, but I can't find a thing or a reason for my model to not show up correctly in Navisworks.
ANY thoughts, ANY idea's, any random ramblings will be accepted here. Like I said, I'm grasping at straws.
Thank you so very much.
