I have created a “duct access door” to insert onto , eh well duct really. It’s a start for me. I think I have everything in place: its category and type etc. And everything seems to be OK. However, when I place the duct in plan mode, it will attach to the duct but will actually place itself on the current level, even though it will be “attached” to the duct it wont actually be placed on the side face of the duct . If I look at the duct from a different angle say a 3d or an elevation-section and I try to place the door then I have no problems. Revit places the duct and it seems to be OK. It is attached to the duct it will move if I move the duct etc. So am I doing something wrong, or is it just the way the Revit behaves itself? Any pointers would be appreciated.
