ok so its pretty much mostly everyone has dual monitors.
anyone ever think to use a TV as a monitor? maybe like a 32 inch?

i didnt think they still made square flat screen monitors... i need something with alot of real estate as my 1 monitor is nothing but a undocked ribbon that is expanded the whole screen

I think you need to get a good size one as text is hard to read on a TV.
My dad has one on the wall behind his monitors but it is like a 80" flat screen and at that size being able to read text is not a issue.

I have a mac mini media center hooked up to my 42" tv at home. I surf the net/check email on it all the time.

How far away from the screen are you sitting?
If you are going to fly by the seat of your pants, expect friction burns.

I use both of my TVs as monitors from time to time, one 30", the other 42", usually with my laptop. Both of my computers have HDMI out so it's just one wire to plug in.

My twin sons had a HD projector for Christmas/18th Birthday, and they now use that to watch TV, surf the net, play C.O.D.  the image is more than 7ft across, and so clear! I think I'll get one of them to do his 3D Max project on there so I can see what its like :D
Thanks for explaining the word "many" to me, it means a lot.

Thought so.  Not exactly suitable for residents of Cubelandia.   ;-)

Not really.
Some times I will sit at the coffee table and type (less than 5 feet away), but that's rare. I know the distance a monitor should be from a person's face is 2' and I'm sure it's much greater for a screen that's more than double the size of the average monitor.

I think know what game you're thinking about. I thought the same thing, but isn't that blurry object a ship?
