MoveAlongPath and copyAlongPath beta
« on: November 21, 2011, 08:27:00 PM »
Here is some code I have started working on for copying on moving objects along a path.
It rotates the objects as they are copied.

Is is mostly lee macs code for object align with object rotation added.
Hope that is ok lee

The commands are CP for copy along path and MP for move along path.
There are some adjustments to make yet and array along path to add.
Just looking for same comments at this stage

As of AutoCAD 2012, AutoCAD also has Path Array that accomplishes this as well.

Judging by when some of the functionality gets added, I always wonder if AutoDesk stalks these and other boards, sees some of the better lisp routines and decides to add something like them as a feature in AutoCAD.  It really wouldn't surprise me. :lmao:

It would be such a phenomenal coincidence if it weren't happening that I have a hard time believing anything else.

I am aware of the inbuilt functions and other routines written.
This is just my simple version
The main difference is the automatic acquisition of the base point
I believe this is the second biggest downfall of the new path array tool.
The first being the inability to have the start of the array not at the endpoint of the path

If I end up writting ArrayAlongPath it will allow the start of the array to be anywhere on the path and go in either direction.
