Topic: Code Attachments not Downloading Correctly

All .lsp file attachments appear to be downloading as a single file called: 'index.php'.

Upon inspecting the 'index.php' file as a Text File, it does contain the original .lsp contents.

Anyone else noticed this?


( Using:  Firefox8.0 on Windows7 32-bit )

EDIT: All attachments are affected.

I've only noticed it since upgrading to Firefox8.0 today, so I'm guessing that's the cause.

Do not left-click the attachment; right-click and choose "save as".

BTW, this problem isn't because of Firefox8. It has been around since Firefox3 I think.

No, but CAB's response states that it isn't a global issue - working for some.

I figured it was from FF8 since this is the first time I've noticed it, but maybe it is due to something else entirely. Judging by the other responses in the thread, it seems I am the only one experiencing this issue...

No problem.

The `right-click' would probably considered the "proper Internet technique". The `work-around' would be to clear your cache every time the `left-click' problem happens (works most of the time) but we are in the "guest accessible problems forum" so...
