Annoative Section callout lines.
« on: August 10, 2011, 12:39:04 pm »
Is there such a beast?

And if so, could someone post a sample so I can test it to see if it will work in our application?

Sorry Krushert,

What do you mean by callout line?

leaders, elevation callout, section callout?

What I am looking for is that the tip of the line at the tick mark is stationary and the other end of the line and detail move with respect to the current canno scale.

What if you made one annotative block and created a group out of the thing (block and section line), would it still be annotative?

Could you do something like the 'Out of box' dynamic block and replace the line with a polyine and make the width larger as it gets longer(OOC)

Dynamic Block will be the best solution to this...as the section line length will most always be a variable with NO respect to viewport scale.  As it will be determined by the object being sectioned, not the scale the section is viewed at.

Dynamic block will not work in this application because these section call out will show up at different scales.  The reason is that the callout is for a full height building section of a multi-floor building and it needs to show up in the overall floor plan(s) and the enlarged plans for each floor.   Capisci?

A dynamic block can also be Annotative.  So define the block as both ANNOTATIVE and Dynamic with a Stretch action to the Tail Section

But can a dynamic stretch have different values for the different canno scales?

Разве я не понимаю динамическое действие протяжения блока правильно?
вы не понимаете этого?
