Curious, how hard to change VBA to DCL?

I'm looking at changing an old VBA system over to DCL dialogs and lisp.
I was wondering what drawbacks you folks may have found in doing so?

The equivalent code will look way prettier as LISP unfortunately, can be self modifying, self contained and if you go the OpenDCL will have more functionality. Can't think of any other downsides off the top of my head ...

Thanks MP, Do I have to have some files installed to my AutoCAD support directory for OpenDCL?

probably it's a reason to jump from VBA on VB.NET instead
