Error in Pattern File
« on: January 28, 2005, 05:30:09 AM »
We have just received a custom hatch .pat file from one of our clients. When trying to load a hatch pattern from this we get a dialog box appear with  "Error in Pattern file"

Does anyone know what causes this and how to rectify it

Kind regards
Tracey

Hi

Check out the following Technical Document on the Autodesk web site under the Knowledge Base section -

ID: TS36193 - Use custom hatch patterns with BHATCH command

Have a good one, Mike

Thanks for that. Does that mean that each of these patterns will need to be seperated, or could I add them to a copy of acad.pat (dont want to mess with the original!)

Thanks for your time

You can add patterns to the ACAD.PAT file with no problems, but you cannot create a custom hatch pattern file with multiple hatches.

To incorporate new hatches, the hatch name and file name must be the same and there must be only 1 hatch pattern in the file... but you already probably read that from the tech docs.
