vba renaming files
« on: January 04, 2011, 12:22:04 PM »
Happy New Year Every One!

Is there a way to drill through a directory and rename all files like a find and replace?
alot of times I have to create a project with out a job number (done in VBA) so all the files in he directory tree start with
"11-    -project name" once i get the assigned number I would like to be able to rename every file in the project directory to
"11-123-project name" no matter what the file extension is with just a button push. is this possible?

Sincerely Mark

I like the concept but it does not seem to do anything.
