Hi Cad-Jedi Knights
Is it possible to create a linetype that has a solid line and offset to that by 1.25 a dashed line which together in engineering terms measn a pipe is heat traced or insulated
Solid Line is the Pipe
Dashed Line is the Insulation
Currently using Autocad 2011 LT [[Unfortunately]]
see attached drg
Thanks all

If AutoCAD LT 2011 includes MLINEs, you could use them to do this.
I know LT 2009 did not include support for MLINEs, but I'm not sure about 2011.
I created one in the attached drawing.

Hi,
I don't even think "mlines" are available in AutoCAD Lt 2012. :realmad:

Dynamic Block with two lines in it, and a 'stretch' grip? :/
There really is no good way to utilize double/triple lines...even if you have MLINE function included :/

I think the easiest way to get
the look
of the result you want would be to draw a pline, then offset it and change the linetype of one of 'em to hidden / dashed.
That's just me, though.

Or...use Civil 3D and use the desired Pipe Style to draw your insulated pipes.
