Weird blocks / details-----NEED HELP
« on: January 24, 2005, 01:54:39 PM »
We receive details from our client and all are done in autocad and compatible with our 2004. These details for what ever reason are done in different scales...for example one my be done in 1/2"=12", anothe 1/4"=12"...etc. When we insert these details in paper space or model space and we explode, scale (before exploding or even after) or no matter what we do we have to redo the dimensions anbd leaders all the time. Anyone have an idea what to look for and a way to correct these problems so we do not have to spend a lot of time.

Thanks

When you say you have to redo the dims is that because they have become individual entities, or is there some other reason?

Youll have to redo the dims no matter what sequence you scale and explode them, as they just wont behave like dims anymore. Why are you exploding them?

If they were dimensioned when you recieved them then those dimensions will be set to that scale
find the name of the dimension and in the dimension style manager set them to the new scale
The text style may also have to change

Been away for a while..personal issues......but sounds like you need to cut and paste the detail into model space, then i would cut a viewport in paper space to see the detail ...Activate that viewport and zoom the detail up to whatever is comfortable for the eye.?
