Did you consider the SPACE character?


I think the space will take care of itself.  Any unknown character should be a space as well ( I think ) <g>  -David

I think you'll get a 'consp nil' from attempting to 'nth' a null list...

Nice idea though  ;-)

12, 13 & 14 does not error out with (grvecs null)

2000 and above errors out

Thanks Tharwat but even with the couple of changes you made it will still only print the first line of text.
I took out the (cons 11 TXP)  but still don't know what it is really for.
; error: bad argument type: numberp: nil is what I get when the routine fails.

Just copy and paste the codes and after that test them .

The routine is working perfectly in Acad 2009 and 2010 .

Thanks,

I've used something similar that displays numbers identifiers near doors that are being constructed.  The numbers look like LED bars on digital clocks.  Making a text version has been on the docket for a while.  -David

My monitor died on me while trying this out so I am a bit late in getting back to you, sorry for that.
The upside is I now have a 20" monitor and a second one arriving tomorrow  :-D (why don't shops keep stock? :realmad: )

Anyway I have a few bits to add to it then I shall post the code up...if my keyboard does not drown in drool from all this virtual real estate I've got now :lmao:

You codes did not work up to now because you did not study my modifications well and you did thought that they were just a couple of changes,
so you laugh at the changes which cost you a lot as you have mentioned in your last reply .  8-)

Yes , I caught that one and altered some others already as I wanted to check the text outcome as seen on screen but due to the whole text not being shown on screen I did not bother to double check any coding after the first line was throwing up an error. Can't fix something before you know it's broke  ;-) and some of the information I wanted included in the text I knew would require some extra coding. Just running some checks on updated code now so stay tuned for the collaborative stair routine. :-)
