Hello all:
I have passed a dwg full of entitys "surface" (0. "SURFACE")  ... bahh!, easy! ... "explode" and ok .... no! ...no run.
In 2008 I have only the edges of the surface .... in 2004 the borders and inside several 3DPOLY by defining the irregularities of the surface ... each with a different number of vertices! :-o
Someone knows how to get 3Dfaces, poly-face-mesh, mesh, etc... or something "digestible" ... :|
I reread the great support of EXPLODE is anything but clean sack me fix the ballot.
If you need to do another version, I also okay ... but I can not prove it.

In the attachment below the original entity ... ... in half, broken in 2008, up to 2004 ....
Thanks in advance   :-)
Regards   :-)

It would be a crude approximation but you could use the 4 borders with the EDGESURF command.

Or, perhaps with vlax-curve-getClosestPointTo the curve network could be processed to return coordinates useful for 3dFaces.

Hello everyone
I have not tried this technique because I thought that nothing would come out good like the original.  :|
But no. The new mesh comes almost equal to the entity "SURFACE" original. :-o
Thank you very much for the idea. I will continue on this path.

Hello everyone
The Seant method is perfect: "SURFACE -> 4 SPLINE / POLYLINE -> POLY-MESH.

If anyone wants 2 beautiful femur heads, to tell me (they weigh 6 Mb)  :-o

Hello everyone
A friend who works in medical software has sent me the "surfaces".
He had never seen such a entity like it and he asked me my opinion on the method for dealing with these entities. The original data are taken from a "TAC" (computerized axial tomography) told me according to my friend.
If you want the data, put me an e-mail with your address. They are quite heavy. :-o
