{Challenge} System Variables
« on: February 25, 2011, 10:55:47 AM »
This is directed toward M. Farrell, but anyone who wants see how many they can do please try.

Out of curiousity, without looking up or having Autocad open,

off the top of your head how many system variables can you name that start with "D"

I am guessing you can do 30+

Maybe post answer in different thread.

Awww... let them answer here if they chose.

This would be a BAD test for me or of me, whatever is the goal here.
I don't know anything for sure without looking it up. I had a teacher or two that emphasized learning where and how to look up and apply information was far more critical than memorization.

And as stuff changes I like looking it up as needed; then my answers are as current as my source material.

My final answer is F1.

My answer is "D" then Shift Tab  :-P

If you hold shift down then does it just cycle the system variables?

Shift makes it go backwards

Shift+Tab will call each command/setvar in reverse alphabetical order, Tab will go in alphabetical order.

Here is what I use for a SysVar reference - its for 2006, so hopefully not too much has changed... I just prefer the web-based format since its 'Ctrl+F friendly'.
