help sought on creating bmp/jpegs from drawings
« on: January 13, 2005, 12:23:13 PM »
Hi guys,

I want to be able to create image files from my drawings.  I want the images to be in black and white and to retain the pen withs as if they were plotted in in black and white.

Can it be done? If so can you explain please.  If not can anybody offer suggestions as to how I could go about it.

I could of course just print them in a4 format (its for a catalogue) and scan them in but there are about 100 of them and I don’t fancy having to manually scan over 100 images.  It would be much more convienent if I could automate the process by doing it through cad.

Thanks in advance

Off the top of my head, print to PDF and open with Adobe Reader and convert to jpg thru there....

You'll probably want to use either tiff, or pdf.
I use this product.
http://www.informatik.com/tiffwork.html
It will install itself as a windows printer.
You tell it where to save the files and just print from autocad like any othr printer.
Instead of paper prints, you get pdf/tiff files.

if you have 2005 you can do one of the following. bmpout, jpgout, pngout or you can use the "publish to web" plotter and choose either png or jpg format along with resolution.
