When open a file using CAD2010

When open the same file using 2 versions of AutoCAD
the file takes longer time when open using CAD2010 than CAD2009 or earyler.

Is this a 2D or 3D drawing?
What is the file size?
Are both versions of AutoCAD on the same computer?
What are the hardware specs of the computer?
