Is it possible to have a global width on a ellipse like you would on a polyline?

The way you would make a circular pline would be to create a circle then trimming it down the middle so you would have an arc. Mirror the arc to create the circle then pedit the arcs to make them one polyline. Now you could adjust the global width. Only problem is that this method is not possible with the ellipse command.

PELLISPE setvar will toggle the ellipse command from placing a true ellipse to placing a pline representation of one. Then the width may be modified.
