Seriously John? You're reading way too much into that comment, taking it way too personal. Let me send you a coffee and a box of timbits.
Great... now I have to Google "timbits".

theCadVault got taken away from me and i never disrespected anyone. If i can do it you can too.

But to speak seriously for a moment (feelings aside), i feel its more like most of you don't yet understand what you "stumbled" upon here in theSwamp and Mark Thomas. If you give 100% to this place, in one month you will begin to realize what separates this place from the other...garbage.

I will even get you started on the path:

Mark, MP,
Why should I? We've invested a lot of our time...*sigh* Yeah okay, I should log off for a while. I dont like posting angry.

I'll leave this though:
This forum is full of people. People who think. Ive seen many descriptions of theSwamp like: "the knowledge level is above other sites" or "theswamp is full of experts", or  whatever; NO theSwamp has people who THINK! We think about what we say and do before we do it. Other sites are full of people who just do an wonder why later.

The Swamp is great but focuses mostly on customization and tweaking.  AUGI provided a much more user-centric forum for solving day-to-day questions.  Collectively we just went from standing on a mountain to standing on a molehill.
Yes, there is an emphasis on programing and customizations here in TheSwamp, but I would stop short of saying most of the focus here is in those areas.  I personally don't know squat about the most simple of lisp routines and can only offer to help debug any customization by using it rather than examine any code for flaws yet there is a wealth of information on these boards that can help users of any level understand the basic program and there are even a few bits of information I could contribute.  TheSwamp is the collective knowledge of everything ALL of its membership has offered to share over the years from OOTB start up questions through intricate customizations and including some truly amazing programing solutions.

I became a swamper because I saw it as an opportunity to learn more about customizing my AutoCAD, I kind of blame Alan (CAB) for winning me over.  I only had 2600 posts at AUGI, I think most of it was in the LISP forum asking questions.  I'm trying to pick up on VLISP more, and I do seem to get quite a bit of help here, although I dont feel as though I have as much information to share.  (a lot of the questions seem to be more advanced than I am)

Well, looks like some clarification of my statement is required... guess thats what I get for spending the morning working.

Yes, its about the posters.

When I had questions about customization, hardware, or very technical issues I came here.  When I had questions about verticals, AutoDesk-related programs, or day-to-day operations I went to AUGI - thats where the answers were.  There is very little here regarding licensing, Navisworks, CUI organization, and the generic CAD area is quite a bit smaller than the old AUGI.  If the Swamp builds up sections for those with better answers than I can get anywhere else yeah I'll be getting them here.

Ain't nothing simpler than makin' timbits - I used to do the donut frying in a bakery.
