Single point rectangle stretching
« on: September 29, 2010, 02:00:05 PM »
I made this quick and dirty, with plans to revisit later to make it work how I want but I'm still having trouble.  What I want to do is stretch one point on the bubble freely leaving the basic shape as rectangular and leaving the radii on the corners constant.  Is it even possible?

Yes.  I did it with one ' xy ' parameter, and two ' stretch ' actions.  One stretch action to stretch the upper section of the rectangle, and in the properties pallet, the distance type is set to ' y distance '.  The other to stretch the right side, and the distance type is set to ' x distance '.  Then you tell the ' xy ' param that you only want one grip to show, and you let the base point be the bottom apparent intersection.

Awesome.  I was not familiar with the xy parameter.  Thanks for the solution and even more so for the PM to point it out.  I would have missed it.
