meh, it's no biggie to explode a pline if you don't use their widths, and are used to using regular lines instead.  My boss and I go back and forth on that crap. He hates polylines, and always explodes them if he has to use them.  I hate a single object drawn using many different lines, so I'll use MPEDIT to join all the segments back up into polylines.  We often work in the same drawing back and forth, so it gets 'fun' sometimes..

I + XI = X is true ...  ... if you change your perspective.

I no longer CAD or Model, I just hang out here picking up the empties beer cans

I guess I said that wrong.

What I meant to say is that I prefer the segments of a line to be ONE entitiy, curves & all. So that when I have to move a line, I get the whole thing with one click.

You are exactly right in wanting to do it this way.  If for no other reason than polylines offer more editing options than just dumb lines and arcs.
