Does anyone know where I can tell Acad2005 a new location for my shapes.atc file.  It is looking in the wrong spot for it and tells me every time I start acad that it is not there.

Thanks

I had the same problem after a brand new install on our network.  I installed it as network admin and then relogged in as a user and it loaded the first time, but never loaded properly after that.  I talked with tech support for many weeks and tried many things before Autodesk came back and said We have to install as Local Admin and not Network Admin.  We did that and haven't had any problems since.  I hope this helps your problem.  What you may have to do to "FIX" your problem is copy the files from the admin install support paths and paste them into the user support paths.  By support files I am talking about the folders in the "Documents and Settings" folder.

Hope this helps,

Hi

Check out the following Technical Document on the Autodesk web site under the Knowledge Base section -

ID: TS81855 - Error message: shapes.atc cannot be found

Have a good one, Mike
