Anyone have any luck plotting w/ gradients?
« on: May 06, 2010, 02:45:32 PM »
I have a fancy vicinity map that will be used for an exhibit. I had 3 gradients in the drawing. Every time I tried to plot, ACAD crashes with 'out of memory'. Changed the gradients to solid hatches and every thing works great. *shrug*

I trust you have emptied your TEMP file directory prior to attempting to plot?

And how much memory does your plotter have?  As plotter memory is also an issue with this 'feature'.

I've used it a fair few times.  It's not something incorporated into our typical drawings, but, like you, I've used it for some "dog and pony show" drawings at times, and I never seemed to notice any bogging.
