I know I have seen this around, but for the life of me I can't find it anywhere.
I remember this because it is VLA and I'm not very good at VLA yet.
I understand in Microstation, you can select an entity in an xref and copy it to your current drawing.
So, here's what I am looking for.
I need a LiSP that will allow a user to select an entity on their drawing,
the LiSP will return to the user whether the entity selected is on an xref or not, and if so, the name of the xref, layer, color, linetype, textstyle, dimstyle, etc.
the LiSP will ask the user whether they would like to turn the layer off of what the entity is on, or copy the entity to the current drawing.
Possibilities:
select several entities at once ??
work with nested xrefs two or three levels deep ??
work with blocks in xrefs ??
Anyone have other thoughts as to potential possibilities ??
Could you help me with this one, like I said I don't know VLA very well.
Thank you everyone for your input and time.
<edited> Hey, my IE was acting up, I think I have just found something. But hey, sound off anyway, I'd like to hear your thoughts. Thanks.
<edited> I have found the posts I was looking for. Hold off on responding, I'll get back to you all when I'm done reading. Thank you all.
