Hide objects in papers space layout
« on: March 01, 2010, 10:17:29 AM »
I have some model space lines and polylines that I would like to hide in a particular paper space layout.

Is there a way to do this WITHOUT using layers and without doing anything to the model space entities so that when this drawing is inserted into another there would be no effect of this?

a wipeout in paperspace?  I know what you want but don't think it can be done.  similar layer would be the best way IMO.

Thanks but I found a different solution regarding the state of a dynamic block which was the issue.

There is also a new subscription service pack with an object Hide feature which worked really well.

Thanks anyway.

I didn't quite understand what you were trying to get until Bob proposed to use a wipeout.

Unfortunately, I also agree with Bob on the rest of his post.  :\  I don't know how one could control visibility of an object like that, unless you start blocking some of the objects, and put that block on a layer that's frozen in the viewport in question, or some sort of similar action.
