Previously Xref layer remover?
« on: January 28, 2010, 10:40:18 AM »
Does anyone have an proggy that will remove the unused layers from an xref'd drawing.

My sheet set drawing have all the xref'd layers from the xref when I originally inserted the xref. I know more then half of them are unused and have been purge from the source drawings since the xref was inserted.  I would like now to only have the relevant layers from the xref shown.
Is there a way of doing this without detaching and reattaching the xrefs?

Any help would be grateful.

Thanks in advance...... Shade

The code in this post might do what you want, IIRC.

The code works great, only one concern though. Does the code reset the xref'd layers colour, linetype, etc. back to the original source state or does it keep them as they are?

I will have to look into the code at a later date for sure, but it seems to work fine for now.

Thanks, for the help.

The code I pointed you too should only delete layers.  The main subject of that thread was to reset layer properties, but that is a different code.
