Thanks everyone.  It seems like the only way to do it, is the way Bryco did, and I don't really like that idea.  It seems like a cheap solution, which may be the only way, and if this was a tool I needed then I would do it that way, but since it's not, then I will just drop it.

I'll continue to look into it as time comes, but is a low priority.
