NEEDED: Commercial Kitchen Equipment Blocks
« on: March 24, 2009, 03:03:16 PM »
I found some decent 3D blocks from Viking for refrigerators and ranges, but I'm looking for a wide variety of commercial kitchen equipment blocks, such as stainless steel tables, 3-compartment sinks, fryers, walk-in coolers, things of that nature.  I've been around the internet and just don't have the time to search thru everything.  Any help would be appreciated.

I + XI = X is true ...  ... if you change your perspective.

I no longer CAD or Model, I just hang out here picking up the empties beer cans

If you have look here you might want to take a look.  IT has been surprising me of lately.  I see it has some commercial ranges but where they are getting their information from to draw them is unknown.

I know GE has 3d blocks of equipment available for download on their website.  I have had to flatten the damn things enough times.  :-P

I know that you said that you didn't want to search through, but for the benefit of others look at this website

http://cben.net/

There are 2d and 3d blocks there and some seem to be quite detailed.

I thought there was someone on here that developed 3D cooking blocks for their business and posted a few pictures of their designs, red tile and stainless equipments if I remember correctly.  Anyone else remember this?

I guess now I'm just looking for that person on here that posted their work for inspiration.  Can't find that post, though...

Good stuff there!  Thanks!  Might go with the turbosquid set.

The original post I was speaking of was on here a year or two ago.  Not a biggie, I'll keep searching thru here.

Yeah, for 85 bucks....it looked like a pretty decent investment, even if you only use theirs as a starting point to build a bigger family of kitchen parts from.
One could probably spend that much just build two decent models, and creating good material maps for them.

Exactly, a starting point.  Basically, I reverse engineer everything.  That's how I taught myself ADT.

That would most likely be David Bethel.
