3ds Max stainless steel material
« on: February 14, 2009, 02:12:46 AM »
Greetings,

I am looking for a material recipe for Stainless Steel that is quite realistic.

I have been playing around unsuccessfully with photoshop attempting to create a texture using noise and motion blur but just cannot seem to hit on the right combinantion when applying to the object.

Also wanting a material that has a wet cement type look to it where objects are reflected in it. Used to be a great wet cement in Accurender from memory but need something in 3ds.

Regards,
John

my question is do you want 'wet cement' material that is highly reflective?
or do you want 'stainless steel' material that is highly reflective?

to myself these are tow entirely different materials?

or you could take a picture of wet cement and use it as the material map
or do the same for stainless, and just make it highly reflective...
Be your Best
