« on: January 27, 2009, 11:17:32 AM »
How to disable the middle mouse button double click Zoom/Extent WITHOUT disabling middle button PAN

Mbuttonpan = 0 , is not a solution
and there is no middle mouse button option in the CUI.

Acad 2007, win xp

That sounds more like an issue of the device settings than an ACAD system variable.  If it is an aftermarket mouse the driver that is set with the mouse might need to be reset to a default OS one.  The setting is related to button 3.

No solution but.....

That is one that I HATED!!!

My mouse wheel press was too sensitive and I was constantly zooming extents when I didn't want to.

I ended up switching my mouse and the problem went away.

There is definitely a middle-button option in the CUI.

So... where can you modify your middle mouse button in the CUI ? all i can see is mouse1 mouse2 mouse3 etc to mouse 11? i dont have 11 button on my mouse sorry? and everything linked to mouse click button are not matching to reality...

button2: grip menu
button 3: deleted it i dont remember
button 4: cancel
button 5: Toggle snap

wtf?

i cant find anywhere

ButtonX: zoom
ButtonY: unzoom
ButtonZ: Pan
ButtonZ dblclick: Zoom extents

Above button ARE the reality not the others that i dont understand anyways..

I'll give you a clue: it's one of those.

Try dragging the pan command on to button 3. Make sure MBUTTONPAN  is set to 0.

If it doesn't work for button 3 try the others.

You could even write a macro for button 3.
