publish's "dsd" file ,number of copies
« on: May 26, 2010, 01:17:54 PM »
Hello,

Does anybody know if you can find out the command Publish's "number of copies" in
the registry?

I'm trying to build my own "dsd" file and so far so good. The only problem I have is
the  "number of copies". I'd like to assign it a number so when I load my "dsd" file.

Any ideas?

How about "NoOfCopies=2" in the DSD file?  Not sure that it will automatically collate them but then again thats not all that important is it?

Hi Psuchewinner,

I tried that already but it did not work. Thats why I
though it would be in the registry somewhere.

Thank you anyway.

Thats weird.  I created a DSD file, changed the NoOfCopies to 2.  I then set filedia to 0, entered "-publish" and listed the edited DSD file and it worked.

A while ago, I wanted to automate the publish command (just because) and went about it by writing all of the info to a DSD file (a text file with a DSD extension) and it worked fine.

I just tried it again. Still did not work..... You know
what,  I even created & saved a true dsd file (while inside
autocad) with 3 copies.

When I opened the save dsd file with published, the number
of copies defaulted to 1. Must be a bug. I am using autocad 2010.

When I tried to load the DSD file from the dialog for of PUBLISH, I got the same result.

Try this:
Edit the DSD to change the NoOfCopies.

Set filedia to "0" and run the -PUBLISH command (to suppress the dialog) and type in the DSD file with path.

Thats the only way it would work for me.

How is the weather out there in Seattle?  We have about 100 people out there in Everett working at the Naval Station.  I was out there for 3 weeks in March.  Played golf at Walter Hall.  Beautiful country aside from the rain

Psuchewinner,

Thanks again for suggestion. Still did not work. But I'm okay with it.

Seattle is great place to live. If you dont mind the rain.
